wedding thank you card

When writing a wedding thank you card it is important to know that it’s not just simply to thank those who bore gifts, but to thank your family and friends for their presence, because they helped to make your day extra special. Be timely. If you receive gifts before the wedding send a thank you note the same day. If you received a gift after the wedding, begin writing your note after soon and send them as you complete them. Wedding notes should be completed within at the most 2 months of the wedding or one month after the wedding. Avoid sending preprinted thank you cards. You want to send a warm personalized card. In the age of computers this might seem a little prehistoric, but hand write and address your thank you cards using proper stationary. This adds a personal touch that makes it the card worth keeping. It shows you are genuinely grateful. So when it comes down to writing your genuine gratitude do not begin with “thank you for…” Add a personal note in the beginning. Begin with the guest’s name and take about how great it was to see them and how much you appreciate them coming to help you celebrate. When it comes down to saying thank you for a gift it’s okay to be repetitive. Thank your guests for their gift in two different ways. “The china you gave us is gorgeous. Thank you for such a wonderful gift.” Include a sentence about how you are using the gift or where you put it in your house. The guest who did not give you a gift still deserves a card to say thank you for being coming. There are many people who would rather not show up to a celebration then show up without a gift. So, the fact that that people still came to support you, it is only fitting that you express you sincere appreciation for their presence. When you are writing this card follow all the etiquette types for the gift notes. Also, never mention the fact that they did not give you a gift. Make them feel just as valued as anyone else. Your wedding thank you card should be personalized at the beginning of the note and express how great it was to have the person be a part of you special day. If you can write about a special moment you shared at the wedding. Sign off your notes using differently. They can repeat, but have three or four different ways such as, yours truly, love, or affectionately. Lastly sign your name and have your partner sign his or hers.
